None.
No shame at all. This post will prove it. This is one of those posts that’s looking overdue. I did this last spring. And by this I mean I picked trash.
My neighbors trash.
Specifically, my next door neighbors trash.
How could leave this beauty behind??
When leaving for the gym, I said to hubs, “I really want to take that mirror out of our neighbors trash.”
Not sure what his exact response was but it was a combination of “don’t you dare” and “Suzanne that’s totally gross.”
Without getting into specifics, it was a risky move to pick from the trash of these neighbors so I left for gym feeling shamed…
But not shamed enough!
Mid workout I realized I wouldn’t be able to live without this piece of trash, I mean treasure.
I will omit from the story hubs response when I waddled in carrying this behemoth, but be assured he still loves me and now the mirror too.
To dress this little lady up I painted her with three coats of enamel paint left over from my hutch re-do. Click here to see how I painted my hutch.
I love her! I have since added a frame gallery around her that really personalized the space. I’ll show you that next!
So what do you think? Can you tell she’s a rescue?
Oh, and in completely unrelated news, those neighbors have since moved…

I love a good trash picker – looks great! And the colors in your house make me happy…
